EcoCAR Challenge Georgia Tech
This is the EcoCAR challenge competition car from Georgia Tech. I’m a part of this team of students that take an existing hybrid vehicle from the GM line up (chosen by GM) and engineer a better solution to handle economy driving. We dropped in a smaller four cylinder engine (I know this goes against every hot rodding bit inside of me) and developed a new controls strategy that improves mileage while maintaining what would be a marketable vehicle. Our two part competition in Detroit and then DC is coming up in the next month or two and its down to the wire to get through with testing. After some drive-ability work last night, we pulled the car to a place downtown to snap a few pictures of the car for promotional use. Take a look.
